In celebration of my 44th birthday, this crew of family and friends (Richard included who was taking the picture) performed 44 random acts of kindness. I started this tradition last year with my family and it took us a week to accomplish it. It was such a memorable time that I wanted to repeat it. It again proved to be a meaningful experience, but this time we were able to do all 44 acts in just under two hours! The tables were turned on us when Peasley’s Posies would not allow us to pay for the 10 white roses to be handed out to patients at the hospital! Kindness was everywhere!
Put on then, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience
Just short of 5 months, but I have returned to work! I just finished an absolutely wonderful week at school, and it feels as though I never left. I was concerned that the students would have a lot of questions about my absence, but they didn’t. My favorite comment was from a four year old boy who upon pushing his chair in after a lesson, turned back, pointed at me and exclaimed, “you come back now!” It was a warm reception from staff, students and parents. The best part is that my mind is busy. I no longer have time to question every new ache or symptom.
My energy level was better than expected for the work day. The time at home was another story. Not a lot was accomplished on the homefront but the chores will always be there tomorrow. Most of my time was spent attending Drake’s basketball games. Not only is his team league champs, but they are district champs as well. Very proud of their whole team, and the next quest is Regionals!
Life feels kind of normal and I like it that way! Just Pamela
This is the day the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it.
